Intermission - Dharma Lady

Here we go with another intermission....

Bit of an odd one this.  In the lost 'universe' there exists a band called Geronimo Jackson.  They have been referenced several times on the show, been given a back story of their own by the creators, and their song 'Dharma Lady' can be heard during several episodes.

So this intermission is a bit of a throwaway one, but just adds to the mythology of the show.

For more info on Geronimo Jackson, check out the lostpedia page here:

and heres is the link to download Dharma Lady

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BYDKLMYV

its is a 33mb avi file running at just under 3 minutes. (it's essentially just the song playing over a picture of the album artwork, so best to think of it as a commercial break between episodes)

as always, hope you enjoy

Episode naming

It seems in my rush to get the episodes released and out there, I've neglected to ensure there is a consistent naming system in place.  This has been rectified for future releases, but for those who have downloaded the first few episodes there may be some clarification required.

So far I have released:
Episode 3 1954-1974 (http://www.filefactory.com/file/b300cc3/n/01_episode_0.1_1954-1973.avi), which once downloaded should be renamed as 003 Episode 3 1954-1974
Intermission - Welcome To The Island (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=F3L57U8T), which should be renamed as 004 Intermission - Welcome To The Island
Episode 4 1974-1977 (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IGJZ34B0), which should be renamed as 005 Episode 4 1974-1977

The reason for the 00? numbering is that there will be over 100 entries in this project and when these first few releases are renamed in this fashion they should flow nicely on your hard drive.  Future released will be named accordingly

Sorry for the confusion

Episode 0.4 - 1974-1977

Here's the download link for Episode 0.4 of 'LOST - In The Detail', 1974-1977.

Please ignore the numerical naming of the file itself. this was a placeholder name when working on it, and will be corrected for future episodes.

In the episode, 'Lafleur' and his gang of shipwrecked salvagers stumble upon the Dharma Initiative, there's flashbacks for Jack and Sawyer, and Jack, Kate & Hurley arrive on the island.

Confused yet? :-)

If anyone has any problems watching these videos please let me know. They work fine on my computer in both Windows Media Player and Divx player.

This episode runs at 45 minutes, and is a 752mb avi file.

Hope you enjoy, and here's the link

Intermission - Welcome To The Island

Here is the first of many between episode intermission.

'Welcome To The Island' is the full video of the welcome orientation video playing in the background as Roger Linus (and later Jack, Kate, and Hurley) is inducted into the Dharma Initiative.

Unfortunatly I can't remember where I originally found this video (possibly DarkUFO's site), and it is more youtube than DVD quality.

Here's the download link....it's and 80mb avi file

Hope you enjoy.......episode 4 - 1974-1977 coming soon

First Post - Episode 0.3 1954-1973

This is my new blog, dedicated to the release of 'LOST - In The Detail', my chronological fanedit of the massive TV show Lost.

I have rearranged the show in chronological order, not only placing all the flashbacks in correct timeline sequence, but also incorporating all deleted scenes, and including a number of intermissions relating to the Lost mythology as a whole.

"But what are these intermissions?" you may ask....well, you could call them bonus features, or easter eggs, but they are all 'in universe' media that help to expand upon the overall Lost saga.

I have edited my re-edit into episodes that mostly run around the 45 minute mark, although some are longer and some shorter.  As I write this, I currently have 96 (!) episodes in the bag and ready to go, and am waiting for the DVD boxset of the final season, to complete my work.

I am well aware that there are several other such projects around, however I have deliberately not watched any of them (tempted though I've been).  I have been working on this project since roughly halfway through season 3 and haven't wanted my editing decisions to be influenced by anyone elses work.  I do feel that my incorporation of deleted scenes and other media help my work stand apart from these other edits, but I also have one other trick up my sleeve......the 1970's!

As any fan of the show knows, season 5 involved a certain time travel aspect....as my show is a chronological retelling it would me remiss of me to ignore the events of this season, but, with some careful editing, my aim has been to start the show on a mysterious note (much as it was in the beginning of the original series) so I have removed as many references to 'the future' as possible so that sawyer really is a stranded salvager named lafleur and jack, kate & hurley really are arrivals on the latest dharma sub, albiet with agenda of their own.....

As the season 6 boxset isn't out yet, my first two episodes are still to be completed (namely the jacob and richard backstorys), but to get the ball rolling, and to give people an idea of what I'm trying to achieve, I have uploaded what is essentially episode 3 of season zero to filefactory for people to download, watch, discuss and critique.  It is a 45 minute avi file (753mb) covering the years 1954-1973.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enojy my work.....heres the link for episode 1
